About the Candidate

Born and raised on the Northwest side of Houston, Jeff attended Ermel Elementary, Hoffman Middle School and Eisenhower High School in the Aldine District.  He was very active in the Youth of the United Methodist Church, and Northwest District of the United Methodist Youth.  In 1994, he was elected President of the District and went on to serve on the state and national levels for the United Methodist Youth Organization. The summer preceding his senior year of high school, Jeff was elected chair of the Methodist Youth Organization. His responsibilities included planning and structuring national and global objectives for the youth of the United Methodist Church, budgeting and organizing Youth ’95, and acting as the head of the youth for the church.

After graduating from high school, Jeff attended Texas A&M University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in political studies, with a minor in religious studies. Immediately after graduating from Texas A&M, Jeff moved to Washington, D. C. to work in the White House as an intern for the Clinton Administration.

After serving in the White House, Jeff returned to Houston and went to work for Harris County as a court coordinator in Harris County Criminal Court # 14 under Judge Mike Fields. While working at the Court, Jeff decided to fulfill a goal of becoming an attorney.
